Vincent Eckert is a cinematographer currently based in Berlin and working worldwide.
Growing up in an artist family in the Black Forest (Germany), Vincent developed a natural sensitivity to light and color. —cinematography is in his DNA.
After completing his high school diploma with a focus on design and media technology, Vincent began training in the renowned program at Bavaria Film, which only accepts 4 out of 400 applicants.
He studied cinematography at the well-known Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
Vincent’s work has received over 130 film festival nominations in recent years—including at the Oscar-accredited LA Shorts International Festival—and has won more than 40 awards. He was nominated for CAMERIMAGE 2022, and in 2023 and 2024, he was shortlisted twice for „Best Cinematography“ at the Clio Awards.
Using 3D programs, he precisely plans tricky shots and playfully explores innovative approaches. This structured planning allows him to work efficiently on set, knowing exactly what’s needed to create captivating and storytelling visuals.
